Why should you recharge your Vodacom Prepaid/Top Up airtime and data bundles with Vtime?

These days it is not safe to share your banking details with anyone.  An EFT is the safest way to exchange money between two parties.  Therefore, simply register Vtime as a permanent beneficiary on your internet banking and make EFT’s when you need Vodacom Prepaid/Top Up airtime or data bundles.  This takes a lot of risk off your hands (and off ours!) and it is good to know that the banks are constantly upgrading their security systems.

• Internet banking rocks!

As you just heard, Vtime enables you to recharge your Vodacom Prepaid/Top Up airtime and data bundles via Electronic Fund Transfer (EFT).  It is not just safe, but you can really make life easy for yourself with internet banking by setting up future dated payments or recurring payments.  Another great perk is that there are no banking costs or transaction fees deducted when you make an EFT payment!  So EFT away!

By the way, if you are not online you can also use telephone banking or cellphone banking to recharge with Vtime!

• It provides a way for Investec and Capitec Bank account holders to buy Prepaid/Top Up airtime and data bundles online via EFT.

We hope to be able to recharge clients of Investec and Capitec Bank more efficiently in the near future.  But until then, they can recharge their Vodacom Prepaid/Top Up airtime and data bundles via the Vtime ABSA bank account. Unfortunately this means that they might have to wait up to 48 hours for their recharge.

• Choose the amount you would like to recharge.

Vtime does not sell airtime vouchers with predetermined amounts.  You are in control.  You choose.  How much do you spend approximately each month on airtime?  Then simply buy that amount.  However, keep in mind that you may recharge with a minimum amount of R55 (R110 for FNB clients) up to a maximum amount of R1000.  Furthermore, please remember to indicate your choice for airtime via the suffix in your Beneficiary Reference (e.g. 0821234567AIR).

In order to buy Data Direct, you need to indicate your choice for Standard data/Advanced data via your Beneficiary Reference (e.g. 0821234567SDAT for Standard data or 0821234567ADAT for Advanced data) and furthermore you need to EFT the specific amount of your chosen data bundle.

Adhering to this request will ensure that you receive your recharge quickly and efficiently.  However, if you recharge with a smaller amount than R55 or a larger amount than R1000, our bank communication systems will not inform us of your transaction and we will have to recharge you manually.  This could delay your recharge and we do not want that!

There are no daily or monthly maximum amounts set for your recharges with Vtime.

Remember:  do not recharge with the same amount within 48 hours!  However, you may do multiple recharges per day as long as you use different amounts, for example R110, R158 and R214.

• You can plan your airtime and 3G data budget.
